AFC Bournemouth wanted to increase engagement with fans & capitalise on the town's excitement of facing Manchester United.
May 2015 saw the promotion of AFC Bournemouth from the Championship to the top tier of English football the Premier League, an achievement to be much celebrated.
Bournemouth hosted many high profile matches during their first season in the Premier League with the visit of giants Manchester Utd in December being a stand out David vs Goliath fixture for the Vitality Stadium crowds.
The club wanted to increase engagement with fans, by including them in bespoke footage of behind the scenes at AFC Bournemouth, and really tap into the town's increased excitement. AFC Bournemouth went on to famously win the game 2 -1 and also went on to book regular Super 11 LED Screen deployments due to the success that day.
Our Super 11sqm Mobile LED Screen provided fans with exclusive footage, match day entertainment and live broadcasts outside the stadium to entertain fans.
The Super 11sqm Mobile LED Screen was the perfect solution to fulfil the brief, as well as being able to display various engaging content, the club was able to sell advertising space to their current sponsors on the screens during intervals. This helped the club with re-cooping up front investments for the screen to be sited there.
The van was parked next to the stadium to reach fans on the approach to the game, giving them an opportunity to receive updates both before and after the match. Interviews with players and managers were broadcasted, as well as pre and post-match dressing room preparations. This brought a wow factor to the event and gave the fans an opportunity to really identify with the club.
In addition, the Bournemouth game was broadcast live on a Super 11sqm LED Screen outside the Bournemouth International Centre to eager fans. This created a great talking point throughout the town centre, making a lasting impression and creating great exposure for the football club and its sponsors.
Reaching 11,500 spectators at the stadium, our screens resulted in £3,000 in advertsing revenue and ensured fans were engaged on the way to and from the match.
