Giving blood saves lives. The blood is a lifeline in an emergency and for people who need long-term treatments.
The NHS need over 6,000 blood donations every day to treat patients in need across England. Which is why there’s always a need for people to give blood.
Each year they need approximately 200,000 new donors,
The NHS run national campaigns to encourage new donors to sign up as blood donors and start saving lives and ensure existing donors to continue to help us keep blood stocks healthy throughout the year
We were called in to increase awareness of local blood donation sites and encourage donations across four specific locations in Folkestone, Canterbury, Tooting and Ashford.
In each of the locations, one Backlit Advan parked in high footfall areas such as shopping centres and train stations, over a three day period to increase awareness of each blood donation campaign.
The large format Advans were an unmissable presence within local communities and provided instruction for how to register to give blood and maps to direct locals to donation sites.
The rear panels also provided information on social media channels and how to download the NHS ‘Give Blood’ App.
The campaign was viewed by up to 150,000 people elligible to give blood and help to save lives.
As a direct result of our out of home advertising there were 500 new downloads of the app, providing valuable information to potential donors.
